About HEART Ambulance
Founded in 2020 by CEO and President Jacob J. Silva, HEART Ambulance was built on a foundation of character, quality, and communication. Jacob, a native of East Los Angeles, was raised in a single-parent household along with his grandmother, where he quickly learned the value of hard work, effective communication and a caring hand.
His journey in the EMS industry began at Rio Hondo College, where he completed fire technology and emergency medical technician courses. Jacob started his career as an EMT and, through dedication and perseverance, became the youngest Operations Manager in Los Angeles County at just 23 years old. Groomed by titans in his early career Jacob grew with knowledge of unit utilization, on-demand perfomance, governence of people management. However, his entrepreneurial spirit pushed him to envision something greater—the creation of HEART Ambulance.
With a clear vision and unwavering determination, Jacob navigated the challenges of launching an ambulance service, ultimately securing licensure with ambulance number 101. What started as a dream soon evolved into a thriving company, now operating a fleet of 45 vehicles, each representing HEART’s core values:
